Ideas That Ignite Growth

Perspectives on growth strategy, women's health innovation, and what it actually takes to build a category — from someone who has done it.

"The women's health market is not a trend — it's a $500B structural shift that most companies are still treating like a side project."

Orgasmic Leadership: Oh, The Places You’ll Go

Over the past few months of traveling, speaking, and connecting with incredible audiences, I’ve found myself reflecting on a new role I’ve embraced: author. Inspired by Dr. Seuss’s Oh, The Places You’ll Go, I’ve been reminded that growth is often about saying yes to new experiences and staying open to where the journey leads. From conferences and universities to conversations with entrepreneurs, leaders, and changemakers, every stage and every interaction has brought learning, gratitude, and joy. Through it all, I’ve been reminded to stay curious, keep showing up, and appreciate the wonder that comes from connecting with people and sharing ideas. This journey has reinforced something I deeply believe: the most meaningful experiences come not just from where we go, but from the people we meet and what we learn along the way.

What I Learned from Dr. Ruth in Her Eighth Decade (and My Sixth)

Dr. Ruth has spent decades breaking barriers in conversations around sexual and reproductive health — and at nearly 91, she’s still leading the charge. A survivor, pioneer, educator, and cultural icon, her life story is as remarkable as her impact. From surviving the Holocaust to becoming America’s most trusted sex expert, she has never shied away from difficult conversations. Rachel reflects on hearing Dr. Ruth speak live and shares some timeless lessons: educate yourself, talk openly about sex, teach respect, understand and communicate your needs, prioritize intimacy, and never place satisfaction on the back burner. Dr. Ruth’s enduring message remains clear: honest conversations about sexuality matter — and they always will.

Bloomberg Equality Summit Recap

I’ve always believed that leadership and learning go hand in hand, and attending the Bloomberg Equality Summit reinforced that for me. Surrounded by leaders across industries, I was reminded that meaningful progress in equality and inclusion requires more than conversation—it requires intention and action. Some ideas stayed with me: diversity is not just the right thing to do, it’s good business; lasting change only happens when leadership is fully invested; and success comes from creating systems that elevate the most talented people, not preserving outdated advantages. These conversations continue to remind me that building more inclusive workplaces isn’t a side initiative—it’s essential to creating stronger organizations and better outcomes for everyone.

Orgasmic Leadership NYC Book Launch Party Was A Smash!

I was thrilled to celebrate the launch of Orgasmic Leadership by moderating a panel with incredible leaders and innovators in female sexual health. Seeing so many founders, investors, and advocates come together reinforced something I strongly believe: women’s sexual health is no longer a niche conversation—it is an important and rapidly growing industry shaping the future of healthcare and wellness. The discussion extended far beyond the panel itself. Thoughtful questions, meaningful conversations, and the energy in the room made it clear that there is real momentum behind this movement. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who attended, supported the launch, and continues to champion progress in female sexual health. Moments like these remind me why this work matters and why these conversations need to continue.

Would you like a Close Shave with your Dose of Social Consciousness?

As a marketer, I can appreciate what Gillette accomplished—the campaign generated enormous attention and reignited conversations around issues like sexual harassment, bullying, and gender dynamics. Whether people loved it or hated it, they watched it. From an awareness standpoint, that is powerful. But I also believe there’s a difference between starting a conversation and creating meaningful change. These issues are complex and deeply rooted, and while visibility matters, real progress requires more than emotionally driven campaigns. We need sustained education, honest conversations, and practical tools that teach respect, accountability, and healthier behaviors from an early age. Awareness is a starting point—but real impact comes from investing in solutions, not just storytelling.
